What I've been listening to recently :V

Masu Dore are a Japanese shoegaze group that I really enjoy. It's hard for me to pick a favorite track of theirs, but this one in particular is what I've listened to most. The album "World is Yours" is easily my favorite so far, being full of high energy instruments combined with melodic vocals. Their guitar and bass lines are often simple but crafted to compliment eachother and belie the fact that it's only 2 instruments, feeling like a wall of sound.

Panchiko are a British indie group with a fascinating backstory. The group came together in the late 90s as teens and recorded a few demos. The eventually disbanded after a few years and moved on with their lives, never releasing music outside of their demo CDs intended for family and friends. In 2016, someone came across one of their CDs in a thrift store and took it home out of curiosity. They uploaded the disc online to acclaim even in its disc rotted state and damage from age. Members of the 4chan /mu/ board banded together to track the group down which ultimately led to them getting back together and releasing both their old and new music on streaming platforms. They've since toured both North America and Europe.

Valentin Strykalo is an indie artist from Ukraine. The song "92" is beautifully bittersweet and the chorus has been stuck in my head ever since I heard it. His music makes me feel nostalgic for a time I never experienced.

Lenny Kravitz's most popular song is Are You Gonna Go My Way, but I'll always assosciate his name with this song instead. It's a simple track, and repeats the same lyrics over and over throughout the 4 minute run time, but it doesn't make the song boring at all.
